Golfers are teed up for longer lives
MORE should be done to encourage people to take up golf and enjoy its health benefits, experts found.
Playing is linked to better physical and mental health, as well as a longer lifespan, researchers say.
A study by University of Edinburgh recommends installing gyms, walking routes and child care at golf clubs and lowering fees to boost participation.
Dr Andrew Murray said: “Golfers stand to gain physical health, mental health and longevity benefits by playing regularly.”
