Poor Jonah (John Simm) is still in Hong Kong, a long way from his provincial life back in the UK. He keeps having flashbacks to happier times, mainly Skyping his largely absent wife Megan, played by Dervla Kirwan.
Turns out she was calling him from a random flat, pretending it was where she lived. We’ve established that she was a very accomplished liar.
In another awkward conversation between Megan’s husbands No 1 and No 2, the men realise she was shot through the heart, but the pathologist was paid by the police to keep quiet.
“Why would they lie?” says London husband Jonah, asking the million dollar question. “How many more secrets?” sighs Hong Kong husband David (Anthony Wong). With five episodes left to go, a fair few we’d bet.
And the plot thickens even more as Jonah soon realises that Megan was involved with some of Hong Kong’s most dangerous people.
