Dog bite disbelief

So, police dog Dano had bitten 10 times in three years before he attacked Irene Collins (Mirror, Sept 20). If a member of the public owned a dog like this, it would have been destroyed. The owner too would have been charged for failing to control the animal. So why was Dano not put down and why was his handler not in control? Harry Wright Letchworth Garden City, Herts

It is high time the Government took a stance over exorbitant phone charges imposed by large corporations. Twice I’ve given up after waiting 20 to 25 minutes.
