AJ: WILL £100 CHANGE YOUR MIND DEONTAY?

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

ANTHONY JOSHUA claims Deontay Wilder will not be able to resist sharing a £100million payday. Joshua wants Wilder to face him at Wembley on April 13 for the undisputed world heavyweight title. Although negotiations

remain stalled, Joshua says Wilder, who is fighting Tyson Fury on December 1 in the US, will bite soon.

“It will happen sooner or later for sure,” said the unbeaten WBA Super, IBF and WBO king, who knocked out Alexander Povetkin in round seven in front of 80,000 at Wembley on Saturday. “We’ll find out who the best is sooner or later. I don’t think he wants to avoid me for too long because he’s getting to the end of his career. This payday is his legacy.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn claims Joshua will fight Dillian Whyte again if Wilder again rejects them but said: “If they want the deal we can make it happen in April.

“The offer (£38m) they made had no substance and will look like peanuts when this fight is made.

“After 80,000 at Wembley, the exposure around the world, and that finish, their offer will look like peanuts.”
