KNOW YOUR BODY Hypothalamus

-

The hypothalamus is a small area buried deep in the brain but it performs crucially important functions.

Firstly, it produces many essential hormones, some of which control the rest of your endocrine system and thereby many different organs in your body.

Think of the hypothalamus as the conductor of your hormonal orchestra. The hypothalamus is also a junction box through which pain sensations become conscious.

The pituitary gland is closely related to the hypothalamus.
