Schools using cheap temps

-

SUPPLY teachers and teaching assistants are being used to provide cutprice education, unions warned yesterday.

Temps on as little as £15,600-a-year are taking classes to help cashstrapped schools.

Andrew Morris, of the National Education Union, said: “Secondary schools use cover supervisors because they are cheaper.

“Unqualified staff affect children’s education.”
