Face tech for plane queues

FACIAL-recognition technology will replace passports and tickets in a trial at a US airport.

Delta wants to cut boarding times by up to nine minutes with the nation’s first biometric terminal at Atlanta airport.

If successful it will be rolled out more widely.

The service will be optional for check-ins and baggage drops from October 15 for international flights.
