STEVE MCCLAREN is ready to take QPR starlet Ebe Eze out of the firing line amid burnout fears.

Eze (above) has been ever-present this season with his side relying heavily on the rookie playmaker.

But the Rangers boss does not want to overload Eze, 20, and carry the burden with the west Londoners.

And he‘s now ready to give him a break – starting in the Carabao Cup at League One Blackpool.

Striker Matt Smith could come in for him and McClaren said: “Ebe’s a real talent that can only get better.

“But like all young players, you have to manage them.

“Whoever plays has to help us go and start another run now.”
