A wait on your mind

Andrew Gregory states around 12 million people now face waits of over a week to see a GP (Mirror, Sept 22). In actual fact, for the past two years many people have been waiting three weeks.

You rarely see the same doctor twice, so there is no consistency in your treatment, and when a surgery closes you get a letter telling you that you no longer have a doctor. This is the reality of the NHS today. Dorothy Baston Stockport Gtr Manchester

Your photo of a manta ray trying to feed in a sea of plastic made me ashamed of mankind (Mirror, Sept 24). I always try to recycle my plastic waste but you never know how much of it ends up getting dumped in the sea. All countries need to get together to solve this problem which is threatening our planet.
