Horror in the park for Pussycat pet
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Ashley Roberts is shocked after her dog was mauled during a walk in the park.
The Pussycat Dolls singer had flown the pet from Arizona to be with her during her time on the BBC1 dance show.
But within days, the Maltese terrier, who weighs just 6lb, was attacked in SouthWest London, leaving Ashley distraught.
A friend said: “Cooper was savaged by a crazed dog – it was horrible.
“Ashley is devastated but, thankfully, he is recovering well.” The one-time I’m A Celebrity contestant claims Cooper, nine, is her “most loyal and loving friend in the world”.
The pooch lives in West London with her but, when she travels, he goes to her mum at home in Phoenix.
Ashley, 37, has revealed the dog has a phobia of men’s trousers. She has said: “If we’re on a walk and a cyclist or a skateboarder comes near us, Cooper goes absolutely mad. “I have to sit down with him and repeat the word ‘chillax’.” Ashley, who attended the Olay Whips launch in London this week, performs a cha-cha on Saturday to Earth, Wind & Fire’s Boogie Wonderland with pro Pasha Kovalev. The pair topped the leaderboard last week with their Viennese waltz.
