Early Budget date revealed

CHANCELLOR Philip Hammond has announced the Budget will take place on October 29.

He said: “I’ll set out how our balanced approach is getting debt falling while supporting our vital public services, and how we are building a stronger, more prosperous economy.”

The annual financial statement has been brought forward to avoid clashing with the end of Brexit negotiations.

They are planned for a special European Council on November 17-18.
