Trump court nominee facing ‘gang rape’ claims

-

DONALD Trump’s pick to become a top judge has been accused of getting women drunk before they were then “gang raped”.

The bombshell allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh came hours before he and a university professor, who has accused him of sexual assault, are today due to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Julie Swetnick was named yesterday by her solicitor Michael Avenatti as the third women to make lurid claims against the judge. In a sworn declaration, Swetnick claimed she was a “victim of one of these ‘gang’ or ‘train’ rapes where [his friend] Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present,” at a party in Washington D.C. in approximately 1982.

“During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me. I believe I was drugged,” she wrote. She said she has a “firm recollection” of seeing boys - including Judge and Kavanaugh “lined up outside rooms at many of these parties waiting for their ‘turn’ with a girl inside the room.” In prepared testimony ahead of his appearance today, Kavanaugh said he was “not perfect” in high school, drank beer and “sometimes I had too many.” He denied any sexual assault. Following the release of Swetnick’s statement, Trump, who has repeatedly defended Kavanaugh, lashed out at Avenatti on Twitter. He wrote: “Avenatti is a third rate lawyer good at making false accusations like he did on me and like he is doing now with Brett.”
