CORSA GSI RERUN

Vauxhall has brought the GSi badge back to the Corsa and stuck it on a 1.4-litre turbo model that has 150bhp and does 0-60mph in 8.4sec.

The GSi borrows much of the suspension from the hotter VXR along with its styling. The Corsa GSi is on sale now at £18,995 which, Vauxhall points out, is £250 cheaper than the Ford Fiesta ST-1 and £2,525 less than the Polo GTI. The Ford has 200bhp and is about the best hot hatch you can buy, so I’m not sure the comparison is valid.

We’ll get our hands on one soon and see how the GSi fares against the opposition.
