MP strikes wrong note
AN MP was asked to curb her enthusiam after she called for a nationwide strike.
Crewe MP Laura Smith suggested a total walkout to topple the Tory Government but deputy leader Tom Watson claimed she “got a little bit carried away” with her comments. And Shadow Business Secretary Rebecca Long Bailey said: “To make it clear, a general strike is not Labour policy.”
