Mr Loophole is celebs’ go-to guy
LAWYER Nick Freeman is so proud of his nickname “Mr Loophole” that he trademarked it.
He has gained a reputation for successfully defending celebrities on traffic offences, often using technicalities such as spelling mistakes.
His first big name client was Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who was caught driving down a motorway hard shoulder to avoid a traffic jam in 1999. He argued Sir Alex had an upset stomach and urgently needed the loo.
Other famous clients have included Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Andrew Flintoff and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Mr Freeman revealed his techniques in 2012 book the Art of the Loophole. SUCCESS Freeman
