Minister: The Tory party is out of touch
A TOP Tory says the party has “lost its way” and is “ignoring voters’ concerns”.
Writing in Parliament’s The House magazine, Universities minister Sam Gyimah also said the Tories would not get the youth vote as they only offer a “pale imitation” of Labour’s agenda.
In a further embarrassment for Theresa May, a second senior Tory, George Freeman, warned the party risks becoming “a rump of nostalgic nationalists”.
Meanwhile ex-party deputy chairman Robert Halfon was worried about how “impressive” Labour looked ahead of Sunday’s Tory conference.
Mr Gymiah urged the party to mount a “fullthroated” case for free market capitalism to combat Labour.
