£174k a day Coldpay
COLDPLAY’S live shows and merchandising brought in £174,000 a day last year.
Accounts for the band’s Flock of Birds Touring company reported a turnover of £63,667,007 and a profit of £38.4million for 2017.
Its activities are reported as the “production of live music throughout the world, excluding North America, and worldwide merchandising”.
The turnover was made up of £59.1million in performance fees and promotional support and £4.5million merchandise and royalty income.
The band’s A Head Full Of Dreams Tour gigs brought in £32.4million from Europe, £22million from Asia, £6.2million from South America and £2.1million solely from merchandising in North America.
The company is owned by Coldplay members Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman, who shared £39.2million.
