£120k fraud on OAP mum

A WOMAN who spent £120,000 of her mum’s money – including on a car and luxury holidays – has been jailed for two years.

Alison Rice, 51, had power of attorney over mum Joyce’s affairs.

The Barclays bank worker took money put aside for the 87-year-old’s care costs and a brother said their dad would be “turning in his grave”.

Rice, of Wellingborough, Northants, wept at Northampton crown court as she was jailed for fraud.
