PAUL CASEY’S KEY HOLES

‘Fans bound to make it noisy.. and crazy’

- FROM NEIL McLEMAN

PAUL CASEY has only one prediction on his return to the Ryder Cup: “It is going to be absolutely mental!”

Le Golf National has a massive 6,500-seat stand behind the front hole, which also gives a view over the spectacular stretch of four daunting closing holes.

Over 51,000 fans will be on the Albatros Course 14 miles from the Eiffel Tower – and most will be around the 1st and 18th.

“The finish is magic – it is going to be absolutely mental,” said the world No.21 (with fans, left). “The noise will be a good thing. As a team, we’re ready to embrace it and know the vast majority of that noise is for us, which is a massive advantage.

“There are some brilliant holes around this course – thank god it is match play. Stroke play always gave me kittens because there is the possibility of a big number. You don’t have to worry about that so much this week.

“There will be a ton of birdies but you can also rack up a double. I really love it.”
