NOU WAY Barca refuse to meet £200M valuation for unhappy Pogba and are ready for transfer war
BARCELONA will try to sign Paul Pogba on the cheap by offering half of Manchester United’s valuation.
Mirror Sport revealed United’s £200million price tag for the World Cup winner, who is pushing for a move to the Nou Camp.
But it is understood Barca rate him at about £100m and are bracing themselves for a transfer tug-of-war, although they will wait until the
summer rather than make a move in January, despite Pogba’s toxic relationship with Jose Mourinho.
The Barcelona hierarchy are looking at possible add-ons, but any offer would still fall well short of what United want.
Pogba will have two years left on his contract at the end of the season and Barca will be in a very strong bargaining position, as the France international is not keen on Real Madrid, Juventus or Paris SaintGermain, the other clubs interested in him.
Barcelona were in a longrunning battle to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool and eventually succeeded despite their original offer being well shy. Pogba joined United for £89m in 2016 and since then transfers have gone through the roof. Barca tried to sign him last month.
