BLUES HAVE RICHARLISON ON NINEPINS
RICHARLISON will be asked to solve Everton’s goalscoring problems after being put through his paces in a central role this week.
The £40million summer signing from Watford has been deployed on the flanks so far but scored twice playing as a traditional No.9 for Brazil against El Salvador in the last international break.
With first-choice frontmen Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun failing to make the most of the chances coming their way, Blues boss Marco Silva admitted he was considering rolling the dice against Fulham today.
“It is not a position where he has played many times but he had a fantastic debut for the national team as a striker so maybe that is why everyone talks about it,” Silva said. “Richarlison has worked this week as a striker in training but we have three strikers in our squad and he is just one of them.”
Fulham have failed to keep a single clean sheet in the league this season.
