ANN SPEAKS FOR HERSELF
Ann Widdecombe says women have never had it so good. WOAH! Determinedly single, no ties, totally in control of her own life, how could she possibly know what it’s like to do about 100 things at once every single day and still feel you’re failing at it all? I’d like to gift her my two constantly ravenously hungry, sleepy teenagers for a week. She can have my ever-full washing basket. And the ironing. She can have my HUGE – despite my constant protestations re too many baths etc – utility bills. She can travel on the Tube and get her bum pinched. She can shop for food every single day on her way to or from wherever she’s working etc etc etc. And she can receive no thanks whatsoever for it all. We’ve only got it all, because we DO it all. Oh yes, Ann! We’ve never had it so good.
