Students get tips on being sex workers
A UNIVERSITY has launched a probe after students were offered advice on sex industry work at its freshers’ fair.
The Sex Workers Outreach Project (Swop) dished out free condoms and lubricant to new students at Brighton University last week, it was reported yesterday.
The group promotes the health and safety of sex workers, and claims that more students than ever are turning to it.
But feminist Sarah Ditum said: “This is essentially a grooming operation, pitching prostitution as desirable.”
A Brighton University spokesman said the event was organised by students and added: “We do not promote sex work as an option to students.”
