- BY PAUL BYRNE

A MAN who feared he had caught monkeypox has been given the all-clear.

The builder and fatherof-one, 49, was admitted to Royal Liverpool Hospital for tests but was allowed home over the weekend.

The Mirror revealed he had been kicked out of a pub after drinkers feared he may be infected.

Friends say he now hopes to visit his partner, 40, who was admitted to Newcastle Royal Infirmary.

The health worker got the disease caring for an infected patient at Victoria Hospital in Blackpool.

A friend said: “He is fine and just worried about his missus. He is back home.”

His partner became the third confirmed case of monkeypox in the UK when she broke out in spots last week.
