Gold-painted bling Ferrari in £450k sale
DAZZLING The 512 BBs FOR the driver who feels a normal Ferrari is a bit drab, a “dazzling” gold model is for sale – for £450,000.
With chestnut interior, three careful owners and status as one of just four in the world, the 1977 512 BBs is the “show-stopper lot” of a Sotheby’s auction dedicated to gold.
The Italian-built car, which has been restored to its gilded glory after being painted red, should fetch from £350,000 to £450,000.
Constantine Frangos, head of the Midas Touch sale, said: “This car encapsulates the excitement and pure extravagance associated with gold.”
Also listed in the October 17 London sale is a solid gold bust of Kate Moss by artist Marc Quinn, and a chair from Napoleon’s Throne Room. ALLERGY DEATH Natasha
