Double murder: Man is charged
A MAN has been charged with murdering two women who died after being stabbed in a village.
Jack Ralph, 28, has also been charged with attempted murder after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Kent Police were called to a house in quiet Hadlow, near Tonbridge, at around 7.40am on Saturday.
Margaret Harris, 78, and daughter Sharon, 55, were allegedly attacked just after 7am.
Margaret’s husband David, 76, was airlifted to hospital. Villager Michael Maile, 75, said: He said: “Usually nothing happens here... now we are scared.
“They [The Harris family] were quiet, reserved people. Margaret never left the house.”
Ralph was in custody last night and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates today via a video link.
