A NEW BBC documentary will highlight how rubbish is harming marine life.

Drowning In Plastic focuses on how the oceans are being polluted.

And it led presenter Liz Bonnin, 42, to join calls for a ban on single-use plastics in Britain and accuse politicians of not doing enough.

She said: “When it comes to all single-use products, I just think if we can live without them, we should live without them.”
