SHOCKED Liz Bonnin in Indonesia BBC1, 8.30pm

“Our blue planet is facing one of its biggest threats in history,” says wildlife biologist Liz Bonnin, who is genuinely horrified at several moments in this 90-minute film.

Sir David Attenborough’s Blue Planet II brought the plastic crisis to our attention.

Now Liz, who joins expeditions and rescue missions, says: “The world has been shaken by the plastic crisis, but can we turn the tide before it’s too late?”

The damage is shocking to see and a load of horrifying statistics are laid bare.

Around the globe, every minute, we buy a million plastic bottles, a million disposable cups and two million plastic bags.

Every minute a rubbish truck ITV, 9pm

As if there weren’t enough skeletons hanging in Megan’s closet, now it seems her husband David (Anthony Wong) has a fair few of his own. “I think he was involved in Megan’s murder,” said Jonah in the last episode.

Now Jonah (John Simm) is having a nightmare. He’s hallucinating that Megan (Dervla Kirwan) is lying in bed next to him, saying: “He got me and now he’ll get you. Where the hell were you?” The next moment, David is suffocating him. Basically, Jonah is not sleeping very well.

Back in the world of the awake, he is still battling the Hong Kong police who took his phone and seem to have misplaced his wife’s body.

Elsewhere, David goes off radar, so Jonah decides to track him down.

Fuelled by suspicion and paranoia, the search takes him to the dazzling gambling island of Macau, where Jonah comes face to face with David’s dark past.
