MARKO ARNAUTOVIC piled the pressure on Jose Mourinho then warned West Ham’s Premier League rivals: Now you’re gonna respect us. The Austria star (left) capped the Irons’ biggest win over Manchester United in 36 years with his fourth goal in six league games. He then said: “The last three games have been brilliant and there’s more to come.

“Everyone says: ‘You played a cup game against Macclesfield, an easy one.’

“But you need to get confidence and we put a lot of effort in. It doesn’t matter who respects us or not.”

Arnautovic also revealed he

FROM FRONT PAGE defied West Ham’s doctors to play through the pain barrier after missing last week’s draw with Chelsea with a knee injury.

He added: “It’s about me, it’s not about the medical staff.

“The medical staff is talking to me and they ask me if I’m ready to play. I decide if I can be involved or not.

“The gaffer gave me this opportunity to play in the starting 11 and he expects me to score goals and I did so it’s good for me, it’s good from the medical staff.

“I’ve got a bruise on my knee and you can’t do anything about this, you need to wait until it’s going away.

“I think the medical staff and people working with me are confident as well so it’s all about being confident in and trusting your body. I trust a lot.”

Record signings Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko justified their investment with the first two goals, while sub Marcus Rashford grabbed a second-half consolation for United.

West Ham’s win was their first in the Premier League at home this season.

Following their first four games of the campaign – which ended in defeat – they have now won at Everton, held resurgent Chelsea and beaten United impressively.

Arnautovic (above) said: “It’s always great when you win a Premier League game – especially at home.

“We are on a good run now and we hope that we can keep going like that.”
