BEN CHILWELL says his Leicester team-mate James Maddison will get even better once he wins an England call-up.

Gareth Southgate was at St James’ Park to see Maddison (right) turn in another eyecatching display.

Chilwell’s efficiency at left-back and the towering performance of Harry Maguire (far right) would also have had him purring.

All three would be worthy members of Southgate’s squad for this month’s internationals.

Chilwell, who made his England debut as a second-half sub against Switzerland last month, said: “If anybody is deserving of an England call-up it’s Madders. I think in our squad out of anyone he would deserve it. He’s in the same situation as me, focusing on Leicester, playing well and getting goals and assists. “When you get called up to the senior squad among those players - the elite you learn more and more. Madders is the sort of player who will suck up the atmosphere and the experience of England and keep improving. “Being in an England squad has really whetted my appetite to be with those brilliant players. They are a great squad and just being around the place was a great experience. I would be lying if I didn’t say I was hoping to be involved next time.”
