ARMSTRONG HAS A BRAG OF TRICKS..

- BY NEIL GOULDING

ADAM ARMSTRONG reckoned Lady Luck was smiling down on him at Ewood Park as he broke his Championship duck.

Newcastle fan Armstrong (above) got the bragging rights over former Sunderland shotstopper Costel Pantilimon by looping a cross-cum-shot over the towering Forest keeper.

Man of the moment Bradley Dack grabbed the other goal for Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn.

But Forest striker Lewis Grabban recovered from an early penalty shocker to bag a brace, including an 80th-minute leveller from the spot.

Armstrong owned up: “I didn’t mean it. It was one of them where I’ve just tried to put it in a dangerous area and it’s looped over the goalkeeper.

“But it doesn’t matter how they come, I guess. I’ll take it.

“I hit it quite sweet and I saw it heading towards goal before it looped over the biggest keeper in the business.

“We should have taken all three points. The game went the other way and we’ve got a draw, which we’re disappointed with.

“We have to take it and move on. Hopefully we can get our own rub of the green.”

Forest’s Jack Colback made a brilliant goal-line clearance from Danny Graham at 0-0, and said modestly: “It was just a fortunate one to be honest.

“I’ve seen Danny in on goal and obviously’s Panti’s committed himself, so I thought the best area to cover was on the line.

“Sometimes it will be backs against the wall this season and you have to get through it.”
