‘Punch’ pupil left in coma

A BOY’S heart stopped twice after he was allegedly punched in school.

Oliver Whitehead, 13, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, where he was placed in a coma.

Mum Leanne Tinsdale, 35, said he was resuscitated twice last Friday. She said yesterday: “Oliver is out of his coma. He has been put on a heart ward.”

Two boys arrested in connection with the alleged assault at Withernsea High School in Withernsea, East Yorks, have been bailed.
