Canal boat is shipshape as Trotters’ van

CUSHDY Comedy fan Tony AN Only Fools and Horses fan has spent £4,000 to convert his narrow boat into Del Boy’s famous yellow three-wheeler van.

Former engineer Tony Vaughan decided to turn his 53ft boat into the Reliant Regal after a boozy night with pals in the pub.

Tony, 61, of Stockport, Greater Manchester, said: “The boat was called Trotters Independent when I bought it.

“When a mate suggested I put a car on it I thought it wasn’t a terrible idea. Making this Only Fools boat has been a laugh. I love seeing people’s smiles.”

He bought the boat eight years ago and moved in a year later.

“I love it because I get my peace and quiet, and thankfully I never get sea sick,” he joked.
