WATCHDOG Ofcom is cracking down on premium-rate 070 rackets.

Scams include missed bogus job alerts in which people return a call thinking it is to a mobile number when in fact it costs up to £1.10 a minute.

Ofcom wants to cap the wholesale cost of calls at 0.5p a minute and expects the saving to be passed on.
