Hard luck with puck

-

LEE BURGE may miss Coventry’s game against Portsmouth tonight after he suffered a freak injury – watching ice hockey.

The goalkeeper (above) was hit on his forehead by the puck at Coventry Blaze’s match with the Sheffield Steelers on Sunday night.

Burge trained yesterday with his head bandaged.

The Blaze won 5-2 at the city’s Skydome Arena.

The Steelers tweeted: “The club passes on their best wishes to Coventry City goalie Lee Burge who took a nasty blow to the face sat in the crowd.

“These fluke incidents do happen at games and we’re sorry it was you in the firing line. Get well soon Lee.”

Burge also tweeted after the accident, joking: “Won’t be going there again.”
