Killer puffer on UK beach
A DEADLY pufferfish has been found in Cornwall.
A couple walking their dog discovered the toxic animal in a rock pool.
Julian Buckland, from Gloucestershire, was visiting Hayle with his wife and did not realise what the fish was until they Googled pictures later.
He said: “Apparently they are deadly if touched. Fortunately my wife didn’t try to put it in the sea.”
The pufferfish, usually found in tropical waters, contains tetrodotoxin, for which there is no antidote.
