PEP GUARDIOLA was forced to bite his tongue – for fear of being hit with a fresh touchline ban.

Guardiola, back in the dug-out after a one-match suspension for City’s home defeat to Lyon, was furious with ref Damir Skomina.

City should have had a penalty late on, with Leroy Sane fouled, but Guardiola was angry at perceived injustices throughout the game.

But afterwards he stayed silent on the issue, to avoid triggering a suspended one-match ban.

“I don’t want to talk about the officials,” said Guardiola. “I want to be on the bench in the next game. I know what happened.
