DY HARD AS PAULO GRABS THREE FOR JUVENTUS

-

PAULO DYBALA took centre stage in the absence of suspended Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring a hat-trick to give Juventus a 3-0 win over Young Boys.

Ronaldon (watching the game, right), sent off in the 2-0 win over Valencia, missed his first game since joining the Turin club in July. But Juventus made light of his absence as they cantered to their ninth straight win of the season in all competitions.

Juve went ahead after five minutes when Leonardo Bonucci sent a long ball looping over a flat Young Boys defence and Dybala (right) timed his run perfectly to volley past David von Ballmoos. The Argentine struck again in the 33rd minute by tucking in the rebound after von Ballmoos could only parry Blaise Matuidi’s shot. Dybala became the fourth Juventus player to score a Champions League hat-trick when he converted a cross from ex-Chelsea man Juan Cuadrado.

Edin Dzeko scored twice before half-time and completed his hat-trick in stoppage time to give ROMA a thumping 5-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen.

BAYERN Munich were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Ajax. Matt Hummels gave the Germans a fourth minute lead but Noussair Mazraoul grabbed a 77th minute equaliser.
