Thirsty Charles limo for sale
PRINCE Charles’s gas-guzzling Bentley limo is up for sale at £12,000.
The royal environmental champion recently took delivery of an electric Jaguar I-Pace.
His 140mph Bentley Turbo RL, built to order, cost £80,000 in 1994, does just 13 miles to the gallon and weighs more than two tonnes. The 140mph motor chauffeured the Prince of Wales about until 1996 and has had two owners since. Cheshire-based H&H Classics Auction Service is selling it at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambs, on October 17. Salesman James McWilliam said: “One can only wonder who sat on these seats beside the famous owner, where they went and what the chat might have been.”
