259 killed by danger selfie
EXTREME selfies have killed 259 people in seven years, with drowning, road accidents and falling the most common causes.
The rising toll, up from just three deaths in 2011, led to a call for no-selfie zones at danger spots.
A global study by the US National Library of Medicine also found deaths were caused by animals, firearms and electrocution.
A report said the full toll may be higher, adding: “It is believed that selfie deaths are underreported.”
