Boris Johnson’s imitation of Theresa May’s wheat field antics is the latest example of his lack of original thinking. He’s happy to mock and keen to criticise, but devoid of constructive solutions to important and current problems, many created by him in the first place.

It is time for the Tories to either get rid of him, or call his bluff and make him their leader. Both options can only be good for the country and the electoral prospects of the Labour Party. Keith Baty, Carlisle Cumbria

So, who is a specialist in failure now, Jose Mourinho? He has spent years belittling others but now the Manchester United boss cannot take it himself. However, it surprises me that when his teams were doing well, little was said about his unpleasant attitude towards anyone he didn’t like or who criticised him – he has been the same for years.
