Emery pledge after Gunner hits double
UNAI EMERY saw Arsenal move into the top four and above arch rivals Spurs – then declared there was plenty more to come.
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice and Aaron Ramsey was on target to give Emery (right)
his best win as Gunners boss and a ninth victory in a row. “I don’t think it’s the best, we can get better,” said the Spaniard.
“When we scored the first goal, we played with more confidence.
“We’re happy but also calm because we know each match is difficult.”
Away fans sang, “We’ve got our Arsenal back” at Craven Cottage, and Emery said: “We need to feel this together with the supporters, and inside the club with players.
“This spirit and mentality is very important for us. Then together we will be happy like today. We need their support home and away.”
Emery insisted he paid no attention to his team’s winning run, adding: “I don’t look at this.
“Every match is different and very difficult. Every win gives us a better position. Each match shows we’re improving with our quality, our winning mentality, our commitment.
“Can we win the title? We lost the first two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea. We called for calm then.
“Now when we’re winning we need to be the same way – enjoy working, finding our best performance in each match.”
