SNP will back second vote on poor deal
THE SNP would support a second referendum if the terms of Brexit were unsatisfactory, says the party’s leader,
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon told the party’s conference in Glasgow yesterday: “No doubt calls for a second referendum would grow in those circumstances.
“I think that SNP MPs would undoubtedly vote for that proposition.”
Ms Sturgeon added: “I will set out my views when Theresa May comes back with the deal.”
However senior Scottish Tory Professor Adam Tomkins hit back.
The Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Constitutional Relations said: “Scotland has had enough of Nicola Sturgeon’s endless demands for a rematch.”
