Dad’s dream bike swiped

A BIKE fan saved up for 15 years to buy his £7,000 dream machine – and it was stolen only days later.

IT manager Richard Benfield, 38, left a 140mph Ducati 900 Superlight at a childminder’s home and it was gone in the morning.

The red 1993 bike is one of only 750 made and “irreplaceable” to the dad, of Eastwood, Essex.

“I tested one many years ago and it was my lifelong dream to own one. Then some little toe-rag stole it. I am heartbroken,” he said.
