One Hull of an insult from a wedding firm
A WEDDING planner has apologised after a bride-tobe’s parents were branded “socially retarded” and insulted for being from Hull.
Sharon Wood blamed the rant against Bekkie Barker, 23, and family – sent from Ms Wood’s email account – on an employee, who has now been sacked.
It said: “I think there must be a message hidden in my website that says only the socially retarded may visit! Or perhaps its cos they’re from Hull.”
The scathing message from Bunny Hill Weddings, at South Cliffe, East Yorks, was intended for a caterer.
But it ended in Bekkie’s inbox after she cancelled.
Ms Wood claimed: “I’ve apologised about the message. It’s offensive.”
But Bekkie said she had not received an apology.
