‘People-led’ war tributes

-

EMOTIONAL tributes to the fallen of the First World War will be paid 100 years after the armistice.

On November 11, pipers will play, beacons will be lit and church bells will ring in the UK and worldwide.

Retired welder Bruno Peek, 67, has co-ordinated hundreds of “Battle’s Over” tributes from his home in Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk,

He said he wanted to see tributes “led by the people of the world, not by governments”. Event details at www.brunopeek.co.uk
