Die hard fans have been squabbling online about plot lines in the longawaited return of this hit series. But as ever, anything could occur.
After the show’s leading man Andrew Lincoln announced he was leaving, it has left everyone wondering what will happen to lead character Rick Grimes.
At the end of last season, Rick held a knife to Negan’s throat, yet he inexplicably spared his life, and we instantly saw the divide that this decision caused in the group. Meanwhile, with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) seemingly Rick’s prisoner now, you’d be forgiven for thinking the war is over. Think again.
And with Samantha Morton set to play Alpha, iconic villain and leader of the Whisperers, it’s bound to be an action-packed series.
If you’re not already a fan, it’s probably best that you dig out series one and start from the beginning. But seasoned viewers are in for a treat. For post-episode chat, watch Talking Dead immediately afterwards.
