Gang in £80k jewels raid on TV Tim’s shop
SHOCKED Tim Hogarth TV antiques expert Tim Hogarth was “gobsmacked” after a gang stole £80,000 of collectables from his shop in just three minutes.
Tim, a regular on ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal, said thieves smashed through the ceiling and shattered glass display cabinets before making off with jewellery and watches.
He said: “I’m shocked. It literally all happened in three minutes.
“They obviously knew which cabinets had highvalue items. It’s purely jewellery they were after.
“We get a bit of shoplifting but it’s the first time the business has been targeted in this way.
“There was an awful lot of broken glass and debris.”
Police are probing the raid at the Red House Antiques Centre in York.
