Fans told: Don’t Cro

- BY JOHN CROSS

ENGLAND supporters are being urged not to travel to Croatia this week.

FA bosses believe Three Lions fans could still make the trip – even though Friday’s Nations League clash in Rijeka is being played behind closed doors.

UEFA imposed the punishment plus a £90,000 fine after a swastika was marked onto the pitch in Split before Croatia’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy in June 2015.

The FA had tried to get tickets for members of the England Supporters’ Club but confirmed in May that it had been advised against the bid by police.

However, some fans had already booked flights to Croatia and on to Spain for the Nations League tie in Seville next Monday.

The FA fear a hardcore of supporters will travel to Croatia but have advised strongly against it for safety and security reasons.
