PLEA Michael Seed THE man suspected of being Basil the Ghost, the alleged Hatton Garden ringleader, has denied being part of a second raid.

Michael Seed, 58, has already denied conspiracies to burgle and convert or transfer criminal property over the £14million raid in 2015.

Yesterday he denied plotting a £1million raid in 2010 on Chatila in Mayfair, West London, Amal Clooney’s wedding jeweller.

He is alleged to have carried out the raid with convicted Hatton Garden raiders Danny Jones, 63, and Terry Perkins, 69.

Seed, of Islington, North London, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea at Woolwich crown court. His trial is due to begin in February.
